MTN Cameroon Recruits Manager, Financial Operations (Mobile Money) in Douala – 2026

What the job offers

MTN Cameroon is recruiting a Manager, Financial Operations in its Finance team, based in Douala, Cameroon. The post is full time. The person coordinates and monitors the fintech (Mobile Money) processes and controls, supports internal and external customers, agents and merchants, and makes sure service levels are respected. They also supervise the back-office team.

The main tasks are:

• Back-office support: supervising the fintech back-office team, and overseeing support for agents, merchants and consumers, including complaints about their set-up on the portals;
• Reconciliation and settlement: reconciling daily all fintech escrow and bank accounts, monitoring balances and variances, and making sure partner settlements are made on time;
• Controls and risk: carrying out financial controls and ad hoc audits, applying anti-money-laundering, audit and risk rules, handling fraud cases, and supervising system access permissions;
• Partners and field teams: supporting the field implementation team, and helping partner banks and financial institutions with agent set-up and operations;
• Registration and training: making sure agents, merchants, corporates and service providers are registered on time, and running training on Mobile Money products and processes;
• Team and strategy: setting goals and giving performance feedback to the team, preparing training plans, helping to build the sub-function strategy, and reporting regularly to the functional lead;
• Products: giving input to product and service testing, support and implementation.

Who can apply

• Education: a degree in a related discipline or equivalent. A postgraduate qualification is an advantage;
• experience: 4 to 6 years in a similar position, with at least 2 years in a management role;
• experience in Mobile Money back-office operations and support, and in agent and merchant management;
• preferred: experience in fintech, banking or Mobile Money, and in a multinational company with a good understanding of emerging markets;
• knowledge of fintech, payments, e-commerce, banking and microfinance;
• skills: back-office process management, handling of queries and complaints, project planning, data interpretation, analytical thinking, people management and presentation.
