You would lead the team that designs, builds and delivers MTN Eswatini's digital products and platforms, and manage the partner company that adds extra engineers. Your main tasks:

• Lead the design, development, testing and delivery of digital products, apps, APIs and integrations, in short Agile cycles.
• Turn business needs into a clear priority list of work, with acceptance criteria and estimates.
• Direct the frontend, backend and full-stack developers, and coordinate security and infrastructure staff.
• Oversee links with customer management, billing, charging, Mobile Money and other telecom systems.
• Find and manage automation projects, including workflows and reusable integrations.
• Manage the delivery partner: scope the work, bring in engineers and review the quality of what they deliver.
• Set engineering standards: code review, automated tests, CI/CD pipelines and documentation.
• Coordinate releases, fix incidents, and monitor application health.
• Make sure security, privacy, audit and compliance rules are met.
• Push for secure engineering (DevSecOps), reusable APIs and the modernisation of old applications.

Who can apply

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, IT or a related field.
• At least 3 years in software development and systems integration.
• Experience leading software engineering or digital platform teams. Management experience is required.
• Experience delivering enterprise applications, APIs and integrated digital solutions.
• Experience in telecoms, fintech, financial services or similar enterprise settings.
• Experience managing external delivery partners and suppliers.
• Experience leading teams with Agile methods (Scrum or Kanban), and with production support and secure development.
• Certifications in leadership, cloud, security, DevOps, automation or project delivery are an advantage.
