What the job involves

MTN Nigeria Communications Plc is recruiting a Senior Lead - Commercial Sourcing for its Finance division, based at the Lagos office (Falomo Roundabout, Ikoyi). The person reports to the Manager - Commercial Sourcing and helps the company buy goods and services at the best cost, in line with MTN's rules and goals. The main tasks are:

• Process approved purchase requests for negotiations and purchase orders
• Set up and amend Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs)
• Work with the commercial legal team on contract drafting and follow the signing
• Handle changes to awards, purchase orders, BPAs and contracts
• Prepare and share sourcing reports
• Track performance indicators against group and local targets
• Support audits and risk management
• Understand internal teams' needs and check the quality of IT goods and services bought
• Follow up with suppliers on deliveries and help resolve delays
• Handle feedback from stakeholders and meet agreed service levels (SLAs)

Who can apply

• A first degree in a related field
• Fluent English
• 3 to 7 years of experience, including supervising others, ideally in a medium-sized organisation
• Experience in a purchasing function
• Good command of MS Office and the ability to work with an ERP such as Oracle Fusion
• A postgraduate diploma, an MBA or CIPS certification is an advantage
