What the job involves

MTN Nigeria Communications Plc is looking for an Accountant in its Finance Services and Control Technology team (job ID 7844, MTN Level 2). The job supports the planning, budgeting and cost control of MTN Nigeria's Network Group. Your main tasks:

• Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning for the Network Group.
• Prepare and analyse network operating cost (OPEX) budgets, forecasts and variance reports, and give useful insights.
• Coordinate the review and reporting of network financial performance and key cost drivers.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly reports on tower lease costs, including lease increases and forecast trends.
• Monitor financial risks, opportunities and cost-saving projects.
• Build finance dashboards, KPI reports and management presentations.
• Run financial models, scenario analysis and one-off analyses.
• Work with the Network, TowerCo, Procurement and Information Systems teams on planning, reporting and data.

Who can apply

• A first degree in any relevant field.
• A professional accounting qualification (ACA, CPA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Fluent English.
• 3 to 7 years in your area of specialisation, including experience in the finance department of a leading organisation and with enterprise financial systems.
• Experience in a medium-sized organisation. Telecoms experience is desirable.
