Under the overall supervision of the Director, and the direct supervision of the Communication & Information sector (CI) Programme Specialist (PS), the Associate Project Officer shall support technical and coordination of project implementation activities under the CI portfolio. The CI Unit focuses on freedom of expression and safety of journalists, media development, media and information literacy and access to information among other themes.The incumbent shall work closely with other team members to bring high level expertise to projects undertaken by the unit whilst seeking synergies across activities and new opportunities for collaboration.
Among the different projects, the incumbent will be responsible for the Social Media 4 Peace project, which is supported by the European Union and is being implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Indonesia and Kenya. The incumbent will be in charge of project implementation in Indonesia and will collaborate closely with colleagues from other offices to exchange best practices and lessons learned.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Journalism, Political Sciences, or related field.

Fluency in written and spoken English.
Knowledge of French and/or Bahasa is an added advantage.
Monthly Salary: IDR 38.525.946 p.a. (Inclusive of Medical Insurance & Pension benefits)
