MTN Uganda Recruits Senior Analyst, Planning & Analytics (Kampala) – 2026

What the job involves

MTN Uganda is looking for one Senior Analyst – Planning & Analytics in its Business Intelligence Competency Centre (job ID 7827, MTN Level 3). The job is full time and based in Kampala. You would report to the Manager – Planning & Analytics. The contract type and salary are not stated.

The job uses data, modelling and AI to explain business results and guide decisions. Your main tasks:

• Analyse customer data to explain performance trends and give timely insights.
• Build and maintain clear dashboards and data visuals, with consistent design.
• Run regular and one-off analyses for the business.
• Build and maintain machine learning models to forecast customer behaviour, churn and business results.
• Study mobile money agent cash and float levels and transaction patterns, to spot stress points and seasonal trends, and find gaps in the agent network.
• Work with Commercial Operations teams to deliver analytics that fit their needs.
• Build business cases for new products, and measure the impact of pricing and promotions.
• Support forecasting, budgeting and planning.

Who can apply

• A Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics or computer science.
• At least 5 years in your area of specialisation.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, data science and machine learning (development and deployment).
• Advanced knowledge of Power BI, PowerPoint and advanced Excel modelling.
• Good understanding of telecom indicators, revenue models and operational measures.
• Ability to simplify complex data and influence strategic decisions.
• Skills: analysis and storytelling, attention to detail, cross-team collaboration, problem solving.
