MTN is recruiting a Senior Specialist – Solutions Sales for its Enterprise Business Unit, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. The role drives the sale of managed communication services to large companies, supporting the account managers on complex, high-value deals.

What the job involves

• Leading complex sales from start to finish: understanding the client's needs, designing a tailored solution and closing the deal.
• Meeting senior decision-makers in client companies, up to top management, and building long-term relationships.
• Preparing proposals, responses to tenders, demonstrations and proofs of concept.
• Building a portfolio of solutions for priority industries such as healthcare, logistics, manufacturing and smart buildings, with a network of technology partners.
• Training the sales teams of MTN's country operations and contributing to the sales strategy.

Who can apply

• A bachelor's degree or 3-year tertiary qualification in computer science, electrical engineering or information technology.
• At least 5 years of sales experience in technology and business transformation.
• 3 to 5 years selling or delivering services in telecommunications, ICT, systems implementation or consulting.
• 3 to 5 years translating business needs into technology solutions.
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation and storytelling skills.
• Experience across different cultures and countries is an advantage.
